Carmarthenshire County Council is responsible for the enforcement of Parking Regulations throughout Carmarthenshire.

There is a growing problem of the numbers of vehicles on our roads, and the consequent demand for places to park particularly in town centres.

This is part of a nationwide scheme to free up Police resources to concentrate on more serious issues, and to bring local influence to parking control.

Good parking management is therefore essential to ensure that both residents and visitors can move freely and safely within the authority, by whichever means of transport, by bus, train or on foot.

It is the Council’s task to keep traffic flowing, whilst ensuring that, wherever possible, there is a fair and adequate allocation of parking resources to meet the varied needs of residents, visitors and businesses.
