• Ask about our Mobile Library Service, which has vans that visit villages and rural areas without a permanent community library. Mobile Library routes can be viewed or downloaded from the Downloads section.

What can I borrow from the Mobile Library?

• Each van carries a choice of books for adults and children, in English and in Welsh,including popular fiction and non-fiction, as well as large print titles. Audio and Visual material is also available.

What if the Mobile Library doesn't have any of the type of books I like to read?

• You can request any item from any of the public libraries in Carmarthenshire for FREE.
• Other items can be requested for a small charge.

What about computers? 

• Each of the vans has internet access but, in some areas of Carmarthenshire, use is dependent on signal reception and the time the van is at a location.

There are 4 mobile libraries based in Carmarthen and 1 larger van based in Llanelli.
